As expected, the Olympic champion won the individual time trial of the first stage of La Vuelta 2021, with a time of 8:32 and an average speed of 49.9km, the Team Jumbo-Visma rider flew in the streets of Burgos aboard his new golden Cervelo showing an incredible level and taking the lead on GC at the end of the day.
Primoz is looking for his third consecutive victory in the Tour of Spain and after his forced retirement from the Tour de France, La Vuelta has become his redemption every season and a test of his mental strength.
From the hand of Kuss and as the second important card in case things fail, the Team Jumbo-Visma is ready to fight until arrival in Madrid
