Trek Bicycle is recalling all 2022 Speed Concept SLR models, 2021-2022 Emonda SLR models, and Bontrager Aeolus RSL VR-C handlebars/stems sold as an aftermarket product.
After 37 reports of broken carbon handlebars, including one report of injury involving scrapes and bruises were reported to the consumer product safety commission Trek Bicycles has issued a recall on all 2021-2022 Emonda road bikes, 2022 Speed Concepts, and Trek Recalls Bontrager Aeolus RSL VR-C Handlebars. All Trek Emonda’s, Speed Concepts, and Bontrager Aeolus RSL VR-C purchased between May 2020 through June 2022 have officially been recalled, and have been issued a do not ride protocol.
