Quintana’s recovery has already begun after undergoing a required surgery on both of his knees back in October. It’s said that the need for Nairo’s surgery is less due to one injury, and more of a compound effect of the series of crashes he’s endured during his professionalc ycling career.
The cyclist published on his social networks a video where we see him already on his bicycle doing his first training sessions and where he wrote: “Starting to feel the air in his face again” #EstamosActivos
A través de su cuenta de Instagram, Nairo Quintana confirmó que regresó a entrenamientos.

In addition, the director of the Arkea squad, Yvon Ledanois, told Le Telegramme newspaper at the time that Nairo could sit out for the first 3 months of the season in order to make a full recovery. Nairo’s surgery might have come at a good time since the current race program looks to be slimming down as races continue to cancel under the Corona-Virus restriction protocols in various countries and regions as we’ve seen with the Tour of Colombia 2.1 and the Tour Down Under.
