Martinez took an impressive win for the Ineos Genadier squad today at Coppa Sabatini out sprinting Odd Christian Eiking of EF Education Easy Post and Guillaume Martin of Cofidis in the 5 man uphill sprint finish. The group had to work hard to catch an escaped Alex Vlasov who was solo with a gap inside 5km to go. As the group came back together, the games started, but it was all settled on the final climb.

The win for Daniel Martinez comes at an interesting as he hasn’t been selected for World championships with the Colombian team, and he is displaying some wicked form. However it looks like this is all preparation for Il Lombardia on Oct 8th, which is the final monument of the year.
